I am the Founder and Chief Growth Hacker at Hacktics Growth Hacking Academy, and a lifelong educator - an Apple Distinguished Educator, thank you ;)
I specialize in Lead Generation, eCommerce & SaaS Growth Hacking, but I am well-versed in all-things digital marketing.
My first love was local SEO, which grew into social media optimization and automation hacks.
From there, I learned how to run Facebook Ads with fancy, schmancy targeting and all - but I still didn't know my analytics.
Eventually, I leveled-up and began to utilize UTMs by building UTM generators - which scaled my ability to track data.
I learned how to track every single split test, from every single ad - no matter the source, medium, campaign, device - it was a game changer; Google Analytics became my new best friend.
In a continued pursuit to improve and grow, I learned how to run Google Ads: Search, Display, YouTube & Shopping (big thanks to my background in KEI Research & SEO).
By learning Google Ads, I quickly learned that I would need to understand Google tag manager. Learning Google Tag Manager, in turn, has taught me how to tag on-page events effectively, monitor on-site behavior, funnel traffic - all to work toward improving revenue optimization, conversion rate or other KPIs.
Email marketing? I’ve conducted cold email campaigns as I understand good copy and well-timed drip delivery. I understand the technical process of warming up domains, spinning up landing pages, and deploying conversion code. I’m also well-versed in email automation for eCommerce and warming up new subscribers.
FB Messenger Bots? Yep.
Mixpanel? Familiar with that.
Intercom? Let’s filter those peeps.
As for my former life, I was an elementary school teacher - and even named an Apple Distinguished Educator (Class of 2015). I am a published author and kept up a blog for a decent amount of time while teaching.
I am a founding board member of The Bay. I hold Master's degrees in Educational Leadership and in Historical Studies, and a bachelor's degree in Education & Human Sciences. Yet, I'm keen enough to know that deeds and actions trump a resumé any day.
I make an effort to write about the things I care about. I believe in questioning everything (especially myself). I believe in beauty, humanity and sometimes even science. I believe that things are getting better and that good ideas, will ultimately win out.
I enjoy traveling, meeting new people and exploring new ideas. If you'd like to connect, feel free to reach out.

Growth Hacking Portfolio
Facebook ROAS - 580%
This is a screenshot from my top performing e-commerce store for whom I run PPC & Tracking. You'll see that the ROI is 580 from September to March.
This same client's Facebook ads plan was slowly burning and losing traffic due to a shift in Facebook's algorithm. Starting in September, I implemented a Facebook game plan we've been growing ever since (the giant spike between Nov and Dec is Black Friday followed by the holiday season).
Google Ads (Adwords)
This is an Google Ads account for a Shopify store. I introduced Google Ads (formerly Adwords) into their marketing strategy and it now generates ~30% of all traffic. (This screenshot is a Google Search Ads campaign).
This was purely an experiment in using Google Shopping. We had a hunch that using Google Shopping ads would perform well, but we didn't expect the resulting ROI. While this happened to be a good month, we can still expect a very positive ROI on our Shopping campaigns.
SEO (On-page & Off-page)
Off-Page SEO was my first love in the digital marketing world. From there, I learned about On-Page and what could be done to website really required to score well in SEO.
Essentially, it all boils down to identifying keywords and implementing those keywords correctly on the high traffic pages on your website. From there, you have to spend money and buy clicks (that actually spend time on your website). Overtime, if your SEO plan is solid, those clicks turn in to buy one get one free, and eventually, buy one - get several free.
Cold Email Marketing
This artifact is definitely a highlight to me - as this was one of my favorite growth hacking experiments. It started off with scraping some email addresses and then conducting a 6-drip cold email campaign.
As you can see, the experiment was a huge success with over 1,000 emails sent, a 70% open rate and a 35% reply rate.
Google Analytics Tracking & UTMS
Any digital marketer worth their can track exactly what they do. Since I was first introduced to UTMs, I immediately gravitated to want to track EVERY inbound click - now I can and do :)
With this proper tracking strategy, I can measure the effectiveness of all paid traffic, delivering a ROI per source / medium.
Moreover, pairing UTMs, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics - one can see the on-site behavior of those inbound clicks which helps inform the feedback loop for future campaigns.
